Why am I being shown properties with more bedrooms than I need?
An overview of how the Accommodation for Students search results work when you filter by the number of rooms.
If you are searching on Accommodation for Students for a house, flat or apartment and you filter your search by the number of bedrooms you need you might be shown properties that have more bedrooms than you require.
For example. If you are looking for a 2 bedroom house you may be shown properties with 3, 4 or 5 bedrooms in your search results.
Why this happens.
This will happen where the owner of the property is prepared to rent the rooms out on a individual basis. So the property may have 5 bedrooms but the owner is happy to let rooms to individual students.
In our example the owner is offering you two of the five bedrooms they have available. This is quite common in the the UK.
So it is important to understand that these properties are available to you - it would mean sharing with other students, rather than having the place to your self.
