Will I be able to cancel my booking and get my deposit back if I can't get a Visa?
What are the rules on cancelling your booking if you can't travel to the UK because you don't have a visa.
This will depend on the property and what type of agreement they have. In the majority of cases;
- Halls of Residence will have 'a no visa no pay' policy
- Most shared houses, flats and apartments will not have this policy
It is important to be aware that if the property does not have a 'no visa no pay' policy you will be liable for the rent if you sign the tenancy agreement.
Check the details
It is important that you check the details before you sign the agreement. If you are booking a hall of residence the cancellation policy will be provided as part of the booking journey. If you are signing a tenancy agreement for a house, flat or apartment it is unlikely that you will be able to cancel the contract if you don't get your visa
